What are some things that I should focus on as a Christian musician?

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all some things that you should be focusing on as a Christian musician. 

Before we get started, let’s have our moment of silence. 

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to follow him throughout all of our lives. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

What are some things that I should focus on as a Christian musician?

So there are actually a few things that you should focus on as a Christian musician. 

Depending on what you’re trying to do is what you’ll be doing a lot. 

But all music careers have similar concepts that you should focus on. 

So without further ado, let’s talk about a few of the things that every Christian musician needs to focus on.

Their music

The first thing that you should do is to focus on your music. Your music should be a priority in your music career because that’s what your main source of income is going to be coming from.

And if it’s not your main source of income, it will be a manner in which you’ll be able to gain money. 

Musicians have a deep purpose. It’s a selfless act trying to serve other people by performing.

You invest hours of dedication and time into a craft in the hopes that people will appreciate your sound.

But more so important, musicians are worshippers, adorers, praisers. 

Music at it’s core, is meant to worship the Lord. Music is supposed to worship and praise the Lord because music is a form of worship and praise. 

We as musicians must honor that title given to us and use it appropriately. 

I believe that if you have become a musician, it’s because you were meant to worship the Lord with music. For music is an art that is dedicated to sing to the one who is holier than us. 

A blog or a Vlog

So the next thing that you should consider are your marketing tactics. How exactly are you going to bring in customers to purchase your music?

Blogging or Vlogging is actually the method in which you’ll be able to generate fans who will follow you. 

You can try other forms of social media including Facebook and Twitter, However I find that the most success that I get comes from blogging or vlogging. 

I have gotten hundreds of views straight from a video without even trying too hard. 

And I’ve gotten nearly a thousand views from my blog in a single month. 

So yes it’s very possible still to make a following on a blog or social media. 

Your prayer life

Your prayer life should be at the top of it’s game when going into a Christian music career. 

It’s very difficult to go through all of life’s challenges and difficulties alone. 

Actually it’s impossible.

That’s why we need the help of the Lord with us to help us to go through the challenges that we face every day. 

Just recently I was in a bit of a struggle. I was having trouble with my faith towards the Lord. 

And I saw within myself that the Lord is good. And So, I started to pray to God again to give me faith and sure enough, he restored my faith. 

It was difficult, I’m not going to lie, it did hurt my spirit for a little bit going through what I was going through. 

But the Lord comforted me and he assured me that he does answer prayers. 

So, saying that, I say that because I pray to God consistently, almost every day. But even with a relationship like that, we still have challenges in our lives that can separate us from God. and it’s difficult. So, don’t for a second think that you’re alone. 

Make sure you’re always grabbed onto God for God is our source of life.
