Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all the story of our salvation.
Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence.
At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to follow him throughout all of our lives. Ask God to guide us more towards him each and every day. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.
Now back to the show
Our Salvation
So our Salvation resides in one person, and that’s Jesus.
Let’s go over some bible basics about our salvation.
John 3:16 states, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son so that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” -KJV
And that was actually Jesus who was saying those things. The Lord was actually teaching to people who just wanted answers to life and the Lord just gave them that verse.
However, the Lord kept teaching and he states in the next few verses as to why we need the salvation that he gives.
John 3:17-19 again has Jesus speaking and it states, “For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. He who believes in him is not condemned but he who believes him not is condemned already. For they have not believed in the name of the only begotten son of God.”
So this shows that we all had evil in our lives and the Lord came down to save us from it.
Again I say that Jesus was the one who spoke those words, not me.
But this is great news! I mean like, imagine all of the things that we ever did wrong in, and it’s all forgiven. Wouldn’t that just be amazing. And the only thing that you have to do is to believe in Jesus.
Now you might be wondering to yourself, “But German, the bible excludes people from getting into heaven, I know that I’m part of those people. “
Well you need to actually read those verses. So like, There is a verse in the New Testament that actually talks about it. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, it states, “ Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Be not deceived: Neither fornicators, nor idolators, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (Effeminate here means gay) nor abusers of themselves with mankind shall inherit the kingdom of God.
AND SUCH WERE SOME OF YOU (Paul was preaching to a group of Christians and he said that SUCH were some of them. So that means that some of those Christians were adulterers, were effeminate, were idolators)
And then he says, “But ye are washed, ye are Sanctified, ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the spirit of our God.”
What these verses are saying is that it doesn’t matter what you’ve done in life.
God’s plan is for EVERYONE (including homosexuals, drunkards, fornicators, adulterers, etc. etc.) to go to heaven.
And God has this plan because he doesn’t want anyone to perish.
However, Because God is so holy, he doesn’t force anyone to listen to him. Instead, he gives us the option, and over the course of our lifetime, we will have many times where we will be given the option to choose God or not.
And God loves each and everyone of us.
Now you might be wondering, “But German who was this Paul?”
Paul was a preacher who was ordained by Jesus himself to preach the gospel to leaders and governors of the time.
What happens is that Paul was actually persecuting Christians, and on his way to damascus to persecute more Christians, he was blinded by a light. And in that light there was a voice and it said, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?” His name was Saul at the time.
And then Saul realized that it was Jesus and then Jesus made him the leader to go out and preach to Kings, Governors and leaders about the gospel.
And it was so. The message of the Lord started spreading.
