Mentorship

Hey guys! So today, I’m going to share with you all my thoughts on mentorship.

Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence. 

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to follow him throughout all of our lives. Ask God to guide us more towards him each and every day. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

Mentorship

So lately, I’ve been thinking about mentorship. 

But I don’t know how to describe the type of mentorship that I’m talking about. 

The type of mentorship that I’m talking about is kind of like apprenticeship. 

But I want to teach someone the skills that I know but on a deep level. Idk how to describe it. 

I want to teach someone worthy of becoming a musician because I want to idk how to describe it. 

I don’t even know what I get in return from this.

Would I get wisdom, experience, knowledge, or something deeper? Ultimately I want to serve the Lord with the things that I have. And honestly, a good reason for teaching someone how to do the things that I do would be to continue the Lord’s work long after I’ve perished. 

That is actually something holy. 

It’s also not selfish.

I would like to help more Christian musicians in the future to create holy music that is inspirational, powerful, lifechanging, and above all else, serves the Lord with everything that it is. 

I think after I’ve become a well-established musician, I would need to create a record label to start that journey. Start the journey of making musicians for the Lord in the future. 

I mean, I’m not calling myself old, but I’m not young either and honestly, it would be selfish to have all this wisdom to myself and not give it to the Lord in the future. 

The Lord had a purpose for me. So, let me become a well-established musician first and then I will start helping other Christian musicians to create great music for the Lord. 

I know there are challenges towards all of our journeys, my greatest challenge will be to remain faithful to the Lord. 

The Lord has given me wisdom and strength, let my life glorify him.
