Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all a research I’ve done.

Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to follow him throughout all of our lives. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

Now back to the show

How often should I release new music?

So there are a few approaches to this topic.

In general though, a DIY independent artist should aim to release new music between every 4-8 weeks.

There are articles that support this particularly these ones right here.

https://yourghostproduction.com/how-often-should-you-release-new-music/#:~:text=Yes%2C%20it’s%20good%20to%20drop,release%20every%20six%20weeks’%20schedule.

However, there have been other artists that have said other things too.

There was a famous rapper, not going to mention his name because it’s inappropriate, but when he first started, he released a new song everyday and I believe that he did that for 6 months straight.

And then the next rapper that I have is Dababy and actually his story is in one of the articles that’s above, I believe it’s the 5piece article.

In that article it states that Dababy released a lot of music in one year and it was actually very beneficial to him.

Actually it showed that he released 2 albums in one year, that’s a lot of songs to be honest with you.

And in the instances of releasing a song every 4 – 8 weeks, you’re supposed to release a single every 4 – 8 weeks, that’s equivalent to an album every year.

In conclusion

In conclusion, the more music you release, the more of an outreach you will receive. Remember that in this day and age, anyone can publish music and it’s not all that hard either.

So go after it and chase your dreams.
