Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all how the Lord helped me to do amazing things in my music career.

Before we get started, let’s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to follow him throughout all of our lives. Ask God to guide us more towards him each day. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

Now back to the show

Story Time!!

So let’s wind the clocks back to when I was 11 years old.

I had just gotten my first guitar and honestly, I felt like I just belonged there. I felt like my life was answered and that my prayers had been answered.

I was actually praying a lot for God to give me a guitar and sure enough he provided one for me.

And what happened was that at the time, I could care less about making a career out of my music.

I was more interested in having fun playing songs and mastering the guitar.

But I always said in myself that music is something great and it needs to be used to worship and praise the Lord.

And so I played and I always had in the back of my mind that I was going to use it somehow to serve the Lord.

Fast forward 8 years later, I had won some awards in music, I had gotten some recognition from a promotion company about one of my songs, and I was trying to build a fanbase.

But honestly, it all seemed in vain.

The reason was because I was using my talents to do non-Christian music.

And I was using these songs and I was making these songs but honestly, it all felt in vain.

And then, One of the managers from one of the recording studios that I went to went up and talked to me and he said, “Do you have a blog or a YouTube channel that we can look you up in?”

And I of course at the time didn’t really understand how the music industry worked.

And I was looking into it, but in this day and age, you need to have a following on the internet before any record label or manager decides to work with you.

It’s not a matter of, “Oh you got a great song and so I’m going to work with you.”

No, what happens is that there are a lot of people out there that have great songs, but you need to differentiate yourself apart from other people by giving something more than just a great song.

And the way you do that in this day and age is by developing a following on the internet.

And so, I started to research how to develop a following on the internet and honestly, I had been praying to God about what I should do as well.

Because honestly, there were so many different channels on the internet all trying to tell me how to develop a great following on the internet and honestly, I didn’t know which one to believe in.

One said to focus on backlinks, the other said to promote through pinterest, the other said to go to forums, and honestly, I didn’t know which one to trust in.

However, I kept praying to God about it because I was really interested in making and succeeding in a blog.

So I went and I prayed to God, and the spirit moved me from place to place until finally I settled into a job where I actually got certified in social media management.

And what happened was that I got certified and I used the knowledge that I learned from this certificate for my own music and sure enough the Lord blessed me with it.

That was actually nearly 4 years ago that I got certified in social media management.

And sure enough, I started out my journey by praying to God. I prayed to God to help me with my blog and he did.

He gave me patience, endurance, strength, time, money, knowledge and wisdom. All of those things are obtained through God.

So if you’re a young musician out there, I know, I know, it’s difficult to practice and to write in a blog and to create content so that you can stay relevant, but trust in the Lord and the Lord will never fail you.
