There’s nothing wrong with admitting you’re a sinner

You know, Sometimes, I talk about God to someone and it seems like they are worried about admitting the fact that they are a sinner. 

And I understand, it’s a scary thought thinking that you have done something wrong when you think that you’ve lived a perfect life. 

But let’s talk about this.

Before we get started let’s have our moment of silence. 

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to better understand him. Ask God to give us the perfect understanding of him throughout all of our lives. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

There’s nothing wrong with admitting you’re a sinner

So I was talking to my friends about God one of these days. 

And honestly, when I got to the part about sin and how I said that God needs something to replace the punishment of sin (talking about Jesus) one of them got offended. 

And he said, “You see I don’t like that part because that means that we have sin in our lives.”

And I said yes that’s exactly what I mean. 

And he didn’t like the fact that he was a sinner. 

I honestly didn’t understand what was wrong with it because it’s true, we are all sinners. 

But he got offended. 

And I read in the bible that people do find that offensive. It does offend some people to know that they are sinners. But I want to say that it’s perfectly fine to be a sinner because that means that we are human. 

If we weren’t sinners, then we wouldn’t be who we are. 

But the Lord is good even to sinners. 

The Lord is good even to the people who forsake him for their own paths. 

And I want to be clear to you guys that God is perfect and that it’s not a big deal if you are a sinner because we all have sinned. 

If you have lied in your life, then you have sinned.

If you have stole, that means you sinned. 

If you have ever cheated, that means you have sinned. 

And so there are so many sins out there in the world that it’s just impossible to be perfect as a human. 

And God is perfect. 

That’s the reason why we need Jesus. 

But this is great news. 

We as sinners can go to God through Jesus. 

The great news is that now, WE ALL CAN GO TO HEAVEN. 

No matter what sin you have done, no matter who you are, you can go to heaven. 

That means you too. I don’t care if you have killed or raped or done atrocities in war, you can change your life and go to heaven in the end. 

This life was hard, this life has a lot of sorrow, but trust me that the Lord has all the power in the world to change your life and give you a brand new path. 

And trust me when I say that the Lord is good. 

The Lord is good and holy and righteous and he will not forsake you, ever.
