How to control yourself?

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all something that the Lord has blessed me with. 

Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence. 

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to follow him throughout thick and thin. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

How to control yourself?

So what happens is that the Lord blessed me with this wisdom a few weeks ago. 

And that wisdom is to mortify the members of your flesh. 

Which means to put to death everything that leads to death. 

Which means to put away malice, wrath, lust, envy, strife, hate, etc. etc. 

And honestly, to me that means that you just need to quit thinking about those things. 

To me honestly, what hits me the most is anger. 

I get angry sometimes and the spirit of the Lord says that we are supposed to put away unrighteous wrath from us. 

And I get it, we all live in an imperfect world. 

We live in a world where imperfection is rampant.

But we still must walk in all righteousness. 

So then, we are to ask God to make us a peaceful people. 

But on top of all that, we must walk in holiness.

It’s becoming easier dealing with these things, but idk how I’ll do it in the future.

But that’s how you control yourself, you mortify the members of your flesh.

But how do you start practicing that?

You start practicing that by literally just doing it. 

So put to death those sins that you have by literally stop doing it. 

Read your bible, go to church, and listen to the word of God. 

And pray to God to give you strength to mortify your flesh for God will give you strength to mortify the members of your flesh.
