Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to give you guys some pretty good reasons as to why the book of job is so important to me and why.
Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence and pray to God to help us to follow him throughout all of our lives.
At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and ask God to guide us as we read the bible. Ask God to speak to us with his word. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.
Now back to the show
The book of Job and why it’s so important to me
So what happens is that sometimes I’m astonished by one part in the book of Job.
In the book of Job, God is explaining to Job why all of the evil things in his life are happening.
The reason is because Job had done nothing wrong and God was allowing so much evil in his life to happen.
And even in the bible, the word of the Lord states that Job was a perfect man, one who loved God and eschewed evil.
And so what happens is that God starts answering Job.
And God takes Job on a tour of the universe and God asks Job questions about the animals and the stars and he shows him how the world is placed in the universe and he shows him the stars and in one of the verses he states, “Declare if thou knowest all.”
And to me, that’s just all of our pain summed up into just a few words.
Explain to me if you really know it all.
Explain to me if you have the answers to the world’s most deepest questions. And to me, it is such a holy response.
Because we have heard from other people before those words.
They say, Do you really know it all?
But they themselves might not know everything either!
However, when God answers and says, “Declare if thou knowest all!” he really does know it all.
He literally knows the reasons for all of our pain.
And the reasons for our pain are nothing but holy and perfect because God has allowed it.
And we honestly can’t fight against the pain that we have because we are all sinners and God is perfect and if any pain is deserved, it probably is best.
And yes it is painful.
Yes it hurts,
But the moral of that story is that we are to worship God in the evil just as much as in the good.
So ask yourself, do you know it all?
And if it’s true that you know it all, then explain the reason for your pain!
And just know that either way, we are to worship God with everything that we are.
