God willing, we’re almost there

Hey guys! So today, I wanted to share with you all something special that’s going on.

Before we get started, let’s have our moment of silence. 

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to always stick to him. Ask God to give us perseverance as we go through the trials of our days. Ask God to give us strength to conquer our sins and to walk righteously. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

God willing, we’re almost there

So let’s backtrack a few months ago. 

What happened is that I went to the google search console and I submitted my website to be put on google. 

And I know, I know, some of you might be saying to yourself, “But German, why did you just do that? Shouldn’t you have done it a long time ago?”

That’s an excellent question and to that I have an answer. 

What happens is that when I first started my blog, I didn’t know how well of a writer I was going to become. 

And so, I went and I started my blog but I said to myself that I was going to give myself time to learn how to write before I put it up on google. 

So I had always heard to treat your first 100 blog posts as like a training ground for you to perfect your craft. 

So at that point, I wasn’t worried about appearing on google. 

The beginning of that was like January 2021. It took me 4 months to get to 100 blog posts. 

Afterwards, I went and I started considering putting up my blog on Google, but I didn’t because wordpress.com SUPPOSEDLY submits your site to google search console on it’s own. 

So I thought that it was going to do that automatically. 

So I actually waited for another 2 years before doing anything else. 

And then finally, I think I read in one of the forums of WordPress.com that you are supposed to submit your site yourself to the google search console. 

And that was actually almost 5 months ago. 

Right now, I’m currently getting between 400 and 1000 blog views a month, but I’m expecting a great deal more. 

But now what? 

We’re almost there

I was doing some research about how long it takes for a blog to actually rank on google and I stumbled across this YouTube video about how long it takes for a blog post to get 90% of the traffic that it will ever get.

And it said that for a site like mine, it would probably take around 35 weeks before You hit that bench mark. 

HOWEVER, you would have started receiving a decent amount of traffic at the 17.5 week mark.

And right now, we are at week 16 ½. 

So literally, right now, God willing, all we have to do is to wait maybe a week or so before we could start getting decent traffic to this site. 

No time for celebrating just yet

We’re still not out of trouble yet. 

Obviously there are things that can happen that are completely out of my control, So I would ask that you guys pray for me. 

Pray for this blog. 

For ultimately, God is the one in charge of the future. And it will be by the hand of God that this blog does amazing things.
