Was the United States founded on Christianity

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all what I think about this topic. 

Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence. 

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to follow him. Ask God to give us strength to pray for our leaders and to guide our leaders into holiness. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

Was the United States founded on Christianity?

So yes and no. 

Some of the first people that ever came to the United States were people looking for religious freedom. 

And in particular, they were Christians. 

There was a saying in my history class one year and they said that people came from the Old World into the New world for three reasons. 

And those reasons are God, Gold, and Glory. 

And it really is true. 

People originally came to the United States for all of those reasons. 

And it’s understandable. 

Were the Laws based off of Christian laws?

So I think that modern laws ALL have a basis on the bible.

Why?

Because mankind has taken thousands of years in order to realize that the laws of the bible are actually all true. 

It’s not good to murder, steal, cheat, or hate. 

And you hear these sayings all over the place. 

But what happens is that back in the day, and even close to modern times, people were sacrificing their children to the gods so that the gods could provide for them. 

And God, the Lord of Lords, outlawed it. And he actually made it punishable by death if anyone were to do it. 

And today, we would punish someone with death if they were to try and sacrifice their children to a god. 

But even back in the 1800s people in tribal nations still killed children if their own laws required it. 

So it literally shows, that no matter how advanced we think we get, the laws of the Lord are still ever present, they are holy, and they are perfect. 

And that’s why we all do similar things no matter the country.

I think it’s safe to say that in most countries, it’s illegal to steal, it’s illegal to murder, it’s illegal to abandon a baby, because all of those laws are good. 

And why is it that we all agree that it is good?

Because back in the day, and even up until recently, none of us thought it was good. 

It’s because the United States acted as the constant. 

And the constant was Jesus.

The United States is great because of Jesus. The Lord has blessed this country because Christians from all walks of life are here.
