I was doom scrolling one of these days

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all something that God has placed in my heart to not do.

Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence. 

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to honor him with all our hearts. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this. 

Now back to the show

I was doom scrolling one of these days

So what happens is that I was doom scrolling on Facebook a few days ago.

Well I should be more clear, it was more like 2 months ago.

And the Lord convicted my heart of something. 

What happens is that I saw a lustful video on those reels and the Lord convicted me to not look at it. 

And so I shut off my phone.

But it started a chain reaction of lustful thoughts and desires.

Anyways, it hit me, I really can’t doom scroll on any of the reels anymore. 

They are so lustful and they provoke a lot of lustful thoughts. 

And I stopped scrolling on the reels for a while. 

Every now and then, I will scroll through, but I won’t do it no more than like 15 minutes. 

And honestly, I have seen Christian reels on my Facebook before. 

But I don’t want to give excuse to doing something sinful. 

I honestly felt ashamed of myself

I felt ashamed because I know better than to look at content on the internet for long periods of time. 

I see a lot of sinful and lustful things on the internet. 

And not only that, but I have way more important, holier things to occupy my time. 

I could be creating Christian content for you guys. 

I could be creating Christian videos for twitch. 

There are just way better things to occupy my time than just doom scrolling on Facebook. 

Don’t get me wrong, there is a time and place for everything, maybe not facebook reels but you get the point. 

But there is a time and place to relax and just be you. 

And that time and place is after you have finished your long day and are getting ready to relax and just take time to enjoy the blessings that God has blessed you with. 

Enjoying the things that God has blessed you with.

The Lord has blessed you with many things. 

Therefore, we should be able to enjoy those things that God has blessed us with. 

I mean, it’s not all about work either, the Lord has given us great things for our own enjoyment as well. 

But we need to enjoy our things responsibly and holy in the Lord. 

And we will never go wrong if we are in the Lord.
