Hey guys! So today, I’m going to share with you all some of the good things I’ve learned in my life being the person that I am today.
Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence.
At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us learn from him. Ask God to give us wisdom and strength to know what his will is at all times. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.
Now back to the show
The Good things that I have learned being 27 and a Christian musician
So what happened is that I was reading an article about content marketing today and really I was looking for inspiration to make a blog post.
And what happens is that I was able to come out with some general advice that I would like to give to all aspiring musicians particularly in the Christian field.
So without further ado, here it is.
It takes God
I remember when I was a sophomore in high school, I thought that I had all the answers in music.
I thought I was the man in music.
And in reality, I had come a long way in music and I was a pretty good musician.
But to say that I was the best and that I was the number one guitarist in the world, was a stretch.
I might’ve been the best in my city, but even that was debatable.
And I looked at my music career 8 years after I started and I said to myself, if I didn’t know the things that I know now about music, I would not have gotten this far.
And honestly, it takes time. It takes effort and dedication and perseverance.
It takes God.
If it were me and I saw my old self in the past and I was to give myself one bit of advice as to how to make it in the music industry.
I would tell myself that it all needs God.
I would tell myself that the fact that it takes time, effort, dedication, patience, perseverance, strength, wisdom, intelligence is alone to know that by yourself, you can’t do it.
But rather, you need all those things from God.
You need so many skills to make it through and the Lord can provide all of it.
I have seen kids who make it into the music industry at such a young age. 8 years old, 10 years old.
I have seen kids make it into show business at such young ages.
And honestly, when I was a kid, I was a little jealous.
But when I grew up, I thanked the Lord so much for giving me the life that he gave me.
I say this with everything that I am and all conviction in my heart.
That I would not want to live anyone’s life other than my own.
I have been on this music journey for 16 years.
16 long, hard years.
And the Lord was there through it all.
So right now, I’m seeing the product of being so faithful to the Lord after so long.
And he is showing me how faithful he is.
I’m 27, and I wasn’t the youngest artist to ever record.
And you know what, if you ever see me on a stage with crowds and crowds cheering after me, just know that it was God who did it all.
Remember it was God who did it.
