Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all something that my pastor shared with me yesterday.

The reason as to why I want to share this with you is because I feel like it’s important to discuss these differences with people.

Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to follow him throughout all of our lives. No matter the difficulty, let’s ask God to give us strength to chase after him like never before. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

Now back to the show

The rich and poor.

So when we were going over this message, the pastor used verses in the gospel to explain the situation.

And the verses were in Luke 16: 19-31 and it states, “19 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:

20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,

21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house:

28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

In these verses, Jesus is explaining the irony of it all.

He explains that though the rich man had great things on earth, he could not save himself from death.

And though Lazarus suffered through horrible things on the earth, he went to heaven.

And it’s interesting to note that Jesus calls the rich man, “the rich man” and not his name.

And it’s interesting to note that Jesus called Lazarus his name and not the beggar.

Why? It’s because Jesus wanted to show that he knew Lazarus because Lazarus chased after him on this earth while he had the chance.

And Lazarus was a beggar with sores and yet Jesus knew him.

Yet Jesus did not know the rich man for he did not chase after Jesus.

And I want everyone on this page right now to know that no matter who you are: rich, poor, great, small, weak, or strong that Jesus is out here and he loves you.

I want you all to know that Jesus loves you all and he wants what’s best for you at all times.

Jesus wants to bless you guys and he wants you guys to be with him.

Right now is the best time to accept Jesus into your life for a life of eternity.

Let’s read another bible verse.

John 3:16 states, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son so that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”

That had Jesus speaking and Jesus wanted the world to know that God loved the world and that he sent his son to be the perfect lamb that died for our sins.

So if you’re out there and you haven’t accepted Jesus into your life, accept him now and he will bless your life tremendously.
