The Painter in the sky

Painting the sky day and night

at sunset he works brilliantly to paint the picture of the up and coming day

at night he celebrates the day with another painting in the sky

At night, when all hope is lost, he works hard without a break.

during the day, he fights to keep the world sane.

and I want a moment to bask in his presence.

I don’t want to ever separate myself from him.

he is too good to be lost.

he is too perfect to be forgotten.

he lives forever and ever and he never backs down from another challenge.

commands armies on his right

and on his left writes the laws of the countries

the painter in the sky is an artist alright

he paints a song in my heart that blazes as bright as the sun
