The importance of living a life of holiness

Hey everyone! So today, we’re going to be talking about holiness. 

Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence. 

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to guide us more towards him each and every day. Ask God to help us to live a life of holiness. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

The importance of living a life of holiness

So what happened is that just recently, I was thinking about some of the things that I go through on a daily basis. 

And like, Honestly, I try my best to listen to the Holy Spirit, but life just gets too overwhelming sometimes. 

I feel like I’m always trapped by something. 

But like I was thinking about what it means to walk in holiness. 

And honestly, walking in holiness means that we are to do our best to be righteous and if we can’t be righteous, then we are to leave the rest up to God. 

There are a ton of bible verses that talk about how being wrathful is a sin, and I remember a few times I’ve been wrathful. 

But I’m not the only man that’s been through this. 

I see it alot in other people, but more importantly, the bible says that everybody will be tempted with wrath at one point or another in their lives. 

And I remember all those times, and I thought to myself, “but wait, the Lord still picked me up and gave me strength to keep going. The Lord sustained me while I was down and he gave me a place to go to.”

And honestly, let’s look at living in a holy manner as a lifestyle, I mean, let me ask you this, are you a car enthusiast? Are you a dancer? What are your passions in life? Do you quit at those passions easily? 

The answer is no you don’t quit. 

You don’t quit those passions easily because it’s your livelihood. 

It’s the same way with walking in holiness. 

And even though you might mess up on your passions, you don’t give up on them because they mean the world to you. 

It’s the same with living in holiness.

You don’t give up on it because you messed up. As a matter of fact it’s more reasons for you to keep going. Because you’re constantly learning more about God and about your passion. 

It’s really like everything else in life, at first it’s hard, but it gets easier along the way until you eventually find yourself just memorizing chapters in the bible.

But anyways, we are to walk in holiness because God is a holy God. 

The word Holy means unique. 

It means different. 

Living in holiness is a way of living that is different and unique from the rest. And honestly, that’s exactly what God teaches us. 

We as Christians are to live in a manner that is different than the rest. 

And just listen to the word of God.

Also pray about the things in your life, and God will always bless your hands with it.
