How I became a practicing Christian

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all how I started practicing Christianity. 

Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence. 

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to practice Godliness and holiness. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this. 

Now back to the show

So what happened is that I started to believe in God way back ever since I was a kid. 

I actually believed in God my whole life. 

But I never took it seriously until I was about 17. I started turning into an adult and honestly, I saw what God was doing in my life. 

He was using my best years for him. 

I actually took it seriously because the Lord honestly just revealed to me how real he really is. 

And honestly, I wanted him. 

I knew that Christianity is not easy. 

I know that Godliness is not easy. 

But the Lord had molded me and shaped me into living out my life for God. 

It was then that I started changing my attitudes and my persona and even the words that I said, wouldn’t be the same anymore. 

But what happened is that you should know the story of how I started practicing, let’s talk about it. 

The story

I was living life in the worldly way. And you know what I wanted? I knew God was real, but you know what I wanted to do? I wanted to leave God in second place in my life. 

I wanted to be rich and famous and be the man. 

And I was doing all the right moves.

Until finally, an incident happened, and nothing bad happened, but I spiraled into a mental breakdown.

I was hospitalized a few different times.

But I remember that my first hospitalization, I started chasing God. 

And I cried unto the Lord within the hospital. 

And I begged him to guide me into his arms again. 

And when I got out of the first hospital, I did not go back. 

And as a matter of fact, every time that I ever went to the hospital after that, I just shared the gospel with everyone in that hospital because I knew that God was going to be there for me speaking for me. 

And my Lord was there. 

The Lord guided me and healed me and made me into a man that only looks for God. 

And I remember one time, my friends were questioning my faith, and they were in a way making fun of me. 

And they said to me, “Why did all of those things happen?” 

And I said, to them, the Lord was there. You know what I did when I lost the girl that I loved? You know what I did in the midst of all those tribulations and trials that I was going through?

You know what I did?

\ They said, “What” 

I said, “I started chasing God.”

And I said, “If there’s anyone out there who can change my life, it’s God.”

And I cried unto God in those days, and he answered.
