Why you should never quit on music

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all why you should not quit music as a Christian musician. 

Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence. 

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to guide us more towards him each day. Ask God to give us strength to not quit on music. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this. 

Now back to the show

Why you should never quit on music as a Christian. 

So like, it’s one thing to give up on music for the sake of becoming rich. 

And even though it’s possible, I would understand why you would want to give up music for that reason. 

It’s because there have been studies that show that no matter how much you get paid to do something, it takes more than just money to get you to do things. 

I think in a study done with around 30 people they were asked to complete a really difficult task for 1,000,000 dollars, and no one would do it. It wasn’t until something more personal was introduced to the equation that people started to do the task. 

And what happened was that it was found out that people need something greater than money to motivate them to do something difficult. 

So, money cannot be your reason for wanting to do music. 

It has to be something greater than money to make you want to jump out of bed and play the guitar or whatever your instrument is. 

This is where God comes in.

God is our reason for wanting to continue to do music. 

God is our reason for working so hard. 

And ultimately, that’s the greatest reason for doing things. 

I mean if we really look at it all, everything can betray us. 

Even our own ears can’t hear the technicalities to a song when we first hear it, we just hear the big picture. 

Our headphones can hurt us.

Our people can hurt us.

Everyone and everything can hurt us.

The only one who is going to do good to us, is God. 

So as a Christian musician, you have this amazing talent to sing and praise the Lord through song. 

So use this talent because God could’ve easily given this talent to someone else who would have wanted to do so much more with music. 

God made you to worship him, so as a musician, use this talent, this gift and worship the Lord with all that you have.
