What are some things that you can do with your music blog

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all what are some things that you can do with your music blog. 

Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence. 

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to guide us more towards him each day. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

What are some things that I can do with my music blog?

So there are quite a few things that you can do with your blog.

Mainly the number one thing that everyone gets a blog in the music industry is to spread their own music. 

I know that money can be a thing that you want to get through your music blog. 

And that’s great and all.

But most often times in the music industry, we are trying to gain attention to our own music through our blog. 

We use blogs as a promotional tool because it’s really quite simple to get results through your blog. 

All you have to do is be simple and create a simple website. 

It doesn’t have to be anything fancy at first, it can just be the standard theme that’s selected for you with your CMS. and then all you have to do afterwards is just write articles related to your industry. 

For example, I am a Christian blogger. Therefore, I would write about topics concerning Christianity and music. 

Which is the reason why I am writing this article right now. 

It’s another reason why I write articles that talk about Christianity. 

It’s because all of those things are going to bring in the audience that I need and that resonate with my message.

But you can also make money through your music blog. 

It goes without say, that once you have an audience of people backing you up on your musical journey, It’s much easier to obtain resources to develop music projects. 

I have actually worked with a few musicians before.

Actually I was once in a recording studio.

And they liked my music.

And I remember that one time, the head of the recording studio came into the room and he heard what I was doing and he asked me if I had a blog or a following on the internet. 

I had to tell him no because at the time, I was brand spanking new to the music industry. 

So I told him no, but he was asking because he would’ve worked with me if I had some influence under my belt. 

And actually I started reading about that through various articles on the internet. 

And a lot of the music industry is the same way. 

If you don’t have money, then they want to see that you have influence and if you do have influence, then they will work with you.

So it’s not all about money, but also resources. 

You see how these people with more power than me, could’ve helped me if I had an audience? 

They would’ve helped me if I had a big enough audience. 

So there are various things that you can do with a music blog.

Here are some things that you can do to jumpstart your music blog.

1. Just Start your blog. A lot of people get caught up with this step. They think that the blog needs to be perfect and have everything in tip top shape. But it’s not true. The blog can have basic settings and just as long as you are writing in it constantly and consistently, you can grow it to be a great blog on it’s own . 
2. Write those bad posts. I know it seems kind of scary having to write articles for the sake of a job, but you have to be bad at something at first in order to be excellent at it later. There are plenty of people out there in the world who were horrible at something at first and then became excellent at it later. I was actually terrible at music at first, but then no one could compete with me later on. 
3. Be consistent and don’t give up. Just start working on it and be consistent. If you can only afford one hour a day, then roll with that one hour and work from there. Don’t be scared or intimidated at the fact that some people were able to see success in their blog within 1 year or so, because even though you see that a lot on the internet, it’s actually a lot rarer than what you would think it actually is. 
4. Always pray to God. Remember that we could have the best plans known to the history of mankind, but if we don’t pray to God about our plans, it wouldn’t be a good way to do it because there are a million things that can stop us from doing our plans on a daily basis. So pray to God for your plans and have more faith in him than anything else.
