Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all an article where I’ll tell you if you should be inspired to write a song or not.
Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence.
At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to follow him throughout all of our days. Ask God to give us strength to work hard in our blogs. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.
Now back to the show
Should I be inspired to write a song?
So there is a big debate in the music industry that talks about if I should be inspired or not to write a song.
Everyone talks about it.
However, that’s mainly a beginner songwriting question.
But I understand why everyone talks about these topics.
Let’s talk about it for a second.
Inspired songs
So it has been shown that the most inspired songs in history were the best performed songs all across the board.
They were the most requested at radio stations, they are the most streamed, most bought albums, etc. etc.
I have a list from here to timbuktu of songs that have outperformed other songs when they are inspired versus when they are worked out.
It makes sense that you should have songs in your albums that are inspired.
Actually in an ideal world it would make sense to have songs that are only inspired.
But that’s where inspiration ends and perspiration comes into play.
“Perspired” songs.
So when I say perspired it means worked out.
These are the songs that you worked really hard to develop.
They were not inspired and you just poured countless hours of work into the songs.
These are going to be the bulk of your songs.
These are actually going to be the first several hundred songs that you ever write.
And the reason why you need to focus most of your efforts on songs you worked really hard on is because most inspired songs come once in a blue moon.
And even though they are great and can have a significant impact on your money, it just isn’t feasible to have an album with only inspired songs because it would just take way too long to develop the album.
So what’s the verdict?
The verdict is that you should have some inspired songs in your albums, but don’t let it rule over the rest of the work that you have to do to develop music.
