How to get better at producing and songwriting?

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all how to get better at producing and songwriting.

Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence. 

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to strengthen our hands to work hard at all of the things that we do. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

How to get better at producing and songwriting

Music is so awesome.

If you know the trick of the trade in music, it’s basically the same all throughout the entire music realm. 

I remember back in the day when I was getting better at guitar, I would actually do what they recommend to do in producing except I do it on the guitar. 

And actually it’s a great way to pick up skills.

Hear this skill that I’m going to share with you all. 

It’s actually really easy but it takes time and patience and I guess that, that’s the difficult part about it. 

The thing that you have to do to get better at producing is by replicating the productions that drive you the most. 

Replicate songs that have been produced and fully mixed and mastered. 

Ands that’s the way that you get better at producing. 

Now songwriting is very similar to how you get better at any trade.

You start off by learning the basic concepts of poetry and lyric writing, and then you move on to creating your own metaphors and similes and other literary devices in poetry. 

And you use that to your advantage in music. 

And while you’re doing that, you need to learn how to use melodies and create the right melody for the song. 

That’s really how you get better at songwriting. 

So basically the same thing that you’ve been doing to get better at your instrument is the same thing that you need to do in order to get better at producing and songwriting. Just get out there and start replicating and doing the songwriting work and you will get better at it.
