
Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all how Jesus saved us.
before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence.
At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to guide us more towards him each day. Ask God to give us strength to pursue him no matter the difficulties. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.
Now back to the show
The explanation for our Salvation
Let’s start with Genesis.
All the way back in the beginning, there was Adam and Eve and God made them perfect.
Everything in the world was perfect and designed the way that God had made it.
There was no violence and everything was just.
And then, when Adam and Eve sinned against God, there came upon mankind the wrath of God.
And the wrath was because we were unfit to be next to God no matter how good we were because of our own sin nature.
And it was so, that instead of living freely in good and holiness forever, we were to die one day and that would be the end of us.
However, God made a promise to mankind that this was not going to be the end of their story.
God promised to mankind that there would be a way to go to heaven with him once again.
And actually that promise is made all throughout the Old Testament, which is why it’s very important that we are to read the entire bible.
And all throughout the Old Testament, God showed kings and strongmen and hero’s in the Bible who failed but God would once again promise mankind that there would be a savior even in the fall of man.
Even in the most difficult situations and the most horrendous of circumstances, the promise of God still remained the same.
Enter Jesus the Savior
Jesus is that Savior.
Let’s read a verse that Jesus himself said.
John 3:16 states, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son so that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”
Jesus was speaking to everyone in the entire world, and he says, “That whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”
And Jesus came down for the perfect and for the unperfect.
And that means everyone who ever sinned.
Now I know what you’re thinking, “But German, what about murderers and homosexuals and drunks? Can they go to heaven?”
That’s an excellent question, let’s read a few more verses in the Bible.
Let’s read a book in the New Testament.
Now these chapters and verses that I’m about to read to you were written by Paul himself. Who Jesus showed himself to Paul and Ordered him to preach to the nations of the world.
and Jesus did this after Jesus was crucified.
Jesus ordered Paul to preach.
and Paul was given many miracles and signs and wonders to show that he was in fact from Jesus.
And let’s read these verses that Paul wrote.
Now we’re going to read something but remember in these verses, Paul was preaching to a group of Christians.
He was talking to Christians who were once evil, he was preaching to people who wanted Jesus.
1 Corinthians 6:9-11 KJV states, “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, more effeminate (This means gay), nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor theives, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revivers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the spirit of our God.”
So like I said, Paul was speaking to a group of Christians and he says, that none of those people are going to enter into heaven, “AND SUCH were some of you.
That means that some of those Christians were drunks, some of those Christians were extortioners, some of those Christians were gay,
“But now ye are washed, but ye are sanctified but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.”
What Paul is saying is that Anyone can go to heaven, if they want Jesus in their lives, but if they don’t want him, God will try and bring them to the right path.
God will try and guide them to him, but if they don’t want him then that’s their own choice.
Literally that’s word for word as to what that bible verse teaches.
And I know what you’re thinking, “German, but my church doesn’t teach that.”
I’ll be honest with you guys, I was in the 8th grade when I ran into a kid who was gay.
And I remember my pastor just telling me, “German it’s not right to be gay, and it’s condemnable by God, But if that kid ever wants God, God will not deny him.”
and this preacher that I was talking to, I’m just going to say is very “right wing” if you know what that means.
He’s not the type of dude to sing kumbaya with homosexuals.
But even he said, “German if that homosexual ever wants God, God will not deny him. And there have been plenty of homosexuals who have entered into heaven, it even says so in the Bible and he pointed me to these verses.”
Now there’s a word to be said about this, Nobody on their own is going to enter into heaven on their own. But if they accept Jesus as their Lord and savior and follow him, God will not deny them.
Let’s look at that same verse that Jesus said, (Remember that Jesus is the son of God, Remember that there was a verse in the Gospels that said that the heavens opened up and there was a voice from heaven that said, “This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased.”)
John 3:16 KJV states, “For God so loved the WORLD (Not the world except a thief, a drunk, a murderer, a homosexual,) For God so loved the WORLD, that he gave his only begotten son so that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”
It is our hope as Christians that everyone goes to heaven.
We don’t like what people do. But it’s the same thing as when you disobeyed your parents and they didn’t like what you did, but they still loved you.
That’s how God is, he doesn’t like what you do, but he still loves you.
