Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all a rant that I’m doing called there is not enough God in music.

Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to put more of him in our lives each day. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

Now back to the show

There is not enough God in music!!

So what happened is that I was thinking about what I was going to write today, and this whole image popped into my head and the image was that there was a No God sign stamped across the Big three in music.

For those of you that don’t know what the big three is, those are the three biggest record labels in the entire world.

And what happened is that I remember all of the interviews that I’ve ever seen with popular music artists and songwriters.

And honestly, everything that they say is just missing that one thing.

It’s missing one thing to make it complete.

And that thing is God.

I keep hearing how musicians work hard to try and find that inspiration to write a song.

Musicians will read books and read poetry to find deeper meanings behind life and behind who we are.

And then, I remember the biggest bit of advice that I ever received to write a song was that I needed to write lyrics about something that matters.

Don’t just write something just to write something.

You need to write about something important and life changing because those are the songs that will take off.

And I remember just thinking to myself, “The only thing that matters is God.”

He is the most important person in my life.

He is the most important thing in my life.

And I couldn’t help but to feel sad at the music industry.

Because the music industry talks about having a happy time and having a good life, but what does all of that matter?

If all in all we’re all going to die in the end?

Those good times are going to end in the end.

Which is why I say that there is not enough God in music.

People write about songs that yes sound inspirational and life changing, but are empty in the end.

You have no idea how many times I’ve heard a song, showed it to one of my friends, and then they go around and just choose to not listen to it ever again because that was the end of that song to them.

The lifespan of a song is so short and it’s very interesting just watching people get hyped up for 4 minutes and then just lose it.

I think God has given me a gift because I could literally listen to my ipod for days on end.

Some of my friends don’t do that though. Some of my friends like to listen to music in the background but that’s it.

It’s no wonder why God has made me a musician.

But yeah, I think that the world needs to put more God in music.

On top of the fact that music is something spiritual, It’s something that is so holy, it literally deserves to be used only for the sole purpose of glorifying God.
