Hey everyone! So today, I‘m going to share with you all something that you need to know.

Before we get into it, let‘s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to understand him. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

Now back to the show

There is no shortcut to success

So what happened is that I was actually looking at some advertisements for an app for guitar lessons.

And I will be honest, the app itself looks pretty handy and interesting.

But it advertises something that I don‘t think is right.

IT says that within one year you can become a professional guitarists (Of course at the bottom it says that actual results may vary)

And that‘s just not true.

I am first hand witness that, that is just not true.

It is impossible to go from absolute beginner musician to professional guitarist within one year.

That‘s not serving justice to all of the other guitarists who spent years perfecting their craft.

And I get it, the companies are playing on peoples emotions of wanting to get really good at guitar really fast.

And there really isn‘t another way around it.

But the fact is that it‘s just not possible to get really good at guitar at an insanely fast speed.

It‘s just not possible.

And I did some pretty amazing things on guitar in my first year.

Actually within 1 year I could already do a really hard and fast metal song from start to finish with solos included.

But that was the only song that I could do completely. I could do parts of other songs but not the entire thing.

And you have no idea how many hours of music I had poured into the guitar.

I‘m talking about 8 hours a day. It was difficult I‘m not going to lie.

But I was patient.

Most people do not have that type of patience or work ethic.

Most people do not have the capacity to put in hours upon hours of music work every day. It‘s just not possible.

But I did, and that‘s a rare occasion.

Do not, and I repeat do not think that you could do the same thing that I did unless you‘re already doing it.

So the lesson in life is be patient and success takes a long period of time.
