Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all a rant about the music industry.

Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to guide us more towards him each day. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

Now back to the show

More ranting about the music industry

I personally think that the music industry is great.

It does a great job at weeding out the people that want to make music a career and those that are serious about it.

The reason why I say that is because I have been in the music game for a while.

And I have met everyone from the up and coming artist to the fresh new dude that got his first guitar.

And it’s great meeting everyone from all walks of life.

But there comes a point where you have to really ask yourself, “Do I really want to make music my career?” And if the answer is yes, then you’ll do everything in your power to make it a reality.

But if you keep going on a thought thinking that maybe engineering is better because it’s more stable, or maybe a teaching degree is better, I’m not saying that those careers are wrong.

And as a matter of fact, they are honorable and respectable careers to pursue,

But if you really want to sit down and buckle down to be a musician, then by all means, suck it up and do it.

I remember I had a few friends in my life who said that they wanted to be musicians.

And I remember how often they lied to me about their music skills.

I would ask them to show me some of their music skills and it’s like they froze up when they tried to do it.

I couldn’t believe it.

I mean like, I know that I’m not an A&R at a major label, but I mean like I’ve already shown you what I can do now show me what you can do.

But that literally means that they are not that good.

Because someone who is really good will almost always have something ready to play at all times.

And don’t get me wrong, I gave them a few chances, but each time they would just freeze up on me.

Anyways, what I’m trying to say is that the music industry does a good job at weeding out those people who are alright and those that are excellent.

If you’re really excellent, then you will go out there and make it a reality.

It’s almost as if though you were born for it.

I will say that in a way you have to be born into it.

Like, it is a gift from God to do music, there is no doubt about that.

But God also listens to prayers.

If you pray about something hard enough, God will answer.

So If you’re out there and you want to make music a career, then I suggest you start praying to God about it.

And don’t stop praying until you get your answers.
