Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all how wisdom is the most important pursuit for us as a Christian.

Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to guide us more towards him each day. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

Now back to the show

Wisdom and how it is the most important pursuit for us as Christians?

So we were in church today, and I’ll be honest I felt a little bit jealous today.

As many of you know, I haven’t graduated from college, and today they were celebrating the kids that graduated college.

And I admit that I felt a little bit jealous.

Some of the kids had graduated high school and some college, and some of those kids, I saw growing up.

And the preacher went and preached a message about wisdom.

He said that wisdom is the primary pursuit that we should be pursuing in this life other than God.

Well God is wisdom but I forgot how he worded it.

But he worded it in a way that honestly, I was astounded by it.

And it was strange because he said a phrase in English that is Similar to the one we say in Spanish.

He said when you pray to God you better have your shoes on.

And in Spanish you say Al maso dandole, y a Dios Rogandole (In English that means to the sledgehammer you hit hard and to God you beg to give.)

and what happened is that I just got inspired to basically write my own blog topic about wisdom.

So without further ado, let’s talk about this.

Wisdom

Wisdom is the key thing. Why do I say that?

Wisdom is strange and I am speaking about this from experience. I didn’t read this in the Bible, I didn’t listen to this in church, I just find this true after years of music experience and just being in life.

Wisdom is patient.

Wisdom takes a long time to achieve.

I remember back when I first started guitar, and I know I say that a lot in this blog, but I remember when I first started the guitar, I kept saying to myself that if I just practice enough then I will become the professional guitarist that I want to become.

And what happened was that I was reading in the Bible the wisdom of the Lord and I couldn’t help but to think to myself that it’s all true.

Let’s look at some wisdom of the Lord that I found in the Bible that was absolutely true.

Proverbs 1:7 states, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

That’s proverbs.

And everywhere I went, I couldn’t help but to think to myself that this is true.

Don’t get me wrong, I might’ve seen some successful people who “Don’t have God.” The reason why I say that is because when you ask these successful people what was the key to their success, a lot of their answers reside in the Bible.

I mean what do you hear from people who are millionaires about how to achieve success in life?

You hear that you need to work hard? Right?

What does the Bible say about the Diligent hand? It maketh rich right?

That’s Proverbs 10:4.

Well what else do you need in order to be rich or successful?

You need patience right?

Let’s look at some bible verses that talk about what patience does to someone?

Romans 12:12 speaks of Patience, Galatians 6:9 as well, and Romans 8:25 all speak that we are to be patient.

But what about success, maybe monetarily? Let’s talk about success with money, what does it say about being patient?

Proverbs 28:20 states, “A faithful man shall abound with blessings: But he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.”

This means that it is sin to be fast to be rich, means that you have to be patient to be rich, if that’s what you want.

So if you go out and find your favorite millionaire or productivity guru and ask them what does it take to be rich or successful?

They will respond with their own version of a bible verse.

And they will respond to you what it means to them, but in all reality, they are just trying to say that you need God in order to be successful.
