Personal Story about giving to the poor

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all a personal story about giving to the poor. 

Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence. 

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to give to the poor. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

Personal story about giving to the poor

So what happened was that recently the Lord has been laying something on my heart. 

And when I tell you these things, I’m not trying to tell you that I’m holy or I’m not trying to brag.

I’m not trying to seek glory. 

But rather, I’m trying to show you guys how God works.

and I’m actually trying to show you guys the glory of God. 

So what happened was that the Lord has been placing it in my heart to give to the poor. 

So I chose the most trustworthy charity in my area and I started to give to them.

and not only that but I also started to give to people on the streets. 

I saw some people begging on the streets and I went up to a few of them and I asked them if they needed anything.

One of them said that he needed shirts, a few other people wanted food. 

Etc. etc. 

and again I’m not trying to brag, If it was not for God, I would not have done these things. 

And so I went and I got these people these things. 

And right now, I’m not exactly wealthy monetarily. 

Because in blessings I am wealthy, but right now I don’t have that much money. 

And what happened was that I gave to these people and to this charity, along with my tithe.

and you know what happened? 

After these past 2 weeks, the Lord left me with more money than what I thought I would have. 

And I splurged 2 times. 

And I was like, this doesn’t make any sense, I should have close to nothing right now. 

And when I saw my bank account, I was astonished because I had way more than what I thought I was going to have. 

And then I went and I got myself a good meal to eat.

and it was all because of God. 

The Lord established my plans in him. 

So I encourage you all, to trust in God above all else. 

Trust in the fact that he will provide and trust that he is not vain at anything. 

For he truly keeps his promises at all times.
