Don’t fall into this category of musician

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all something that every musician needs to NOT do.

Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence. 

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to become the musicians that he wants us to become. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this. 

Now back to the show

Don’t fall into this category of musicians

So what happens is that I was actually trying to do a little research as to a music topic that would be good to write about.

And I was watching people on the internet who are musicians try and do music.

And don’t get me wrong, these musicians sure are great and all.

However, I would call them performers. 

And what they are trying to be is a songwriter/artist.

and I get it, everyone has to start somewhere, but where they make their mistake is that they stopped at being a musician.

They did not continue their education.

What I think happened was that these people saw that they were good musicians and then they tried to apply their music talent to songwriting. 

And though that’s what you’re supposed to do in a sense, it’s not the entire picture. 

No, if you want to be a songwriter, you need to learn how to write songs.

It’s not just a matter of oh I know music so I’m just going to put random words and a melody to it and call it a song. 

It doesn’t exactly work like that. 

There is a structure for songs, especially if you want to make a big pop song. 

So if you’re a musician and you are a great performer, great, but don’t think that it ends there. 

You need to be humble enough to accept the fact that you don’t know how to write music and learn how to write music. 

You need to learn how to write music so that you can continue in your music career. 

It’s a skill and it’s difficult to do, but it’s well worth it.
