Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to define the 90s with some Christian music artists.

Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to follow him throughout all of our lives. Ask God to give us strength to follow him. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

Now back to the show

Christian music that defined the 90s

So what happened is that I’m Hispanic. So Hispanic music dominated my ears for the very beginning of my life.

Which was the 90s and early 2000s

And what happened is that I was introduced to English Christian music actually in middle school.

What happened was that I was a rising musician and my mom wanted to give me music that was good.

And so she rented out from the library a Christian album called Open the Eyes of my heart both volumes 1 and 2.

And the first volume took my heart away.

I remember in those days I couldn’t stop listening to those songs because they had just captured me.

And they said everything that I ever wanted to say to the Lord.

some of the songs I had already heard from church.

But the other songs I never heard before in my life.

And I absolutely loved it all.

And to this day, I still listen to a lot of those songs.

They are timeless pieces of music that will be played in heaven.

It’s a compilation album of some of the biggest Christian hits of the 90s.

If you want to see what the 90s were about from a Christian’s perspective, you listen to those songs.

I think Christian music reached it’s peak in the 90s because the Christian music that I heard was nothing but excellence.

To this day, I try and find music that is both lyrically and sonically impactful as the 90s music, but I cannot find it.

The 90s will forever be my favorite decade of music.
