Why music is so important for the spiritual health of a Christian

Hey everyone! So today, I‘m going to talk about why music is important for the spiritual health of a Christian.

Before we get into it, let‘s have our moment of silence. 

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to give us strength to worship him with everything that we have. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

Music and spiritual health

So what is the purpose of mankind?

If it‘s not to worship God in everything that we do, I don‘t know what is. 

So what happens is that God gives each of us purpose through his spirit. 

But part of that purpose is to submit to the word of God at all times. 

It is this submission that really fuels our purpose. 

Often times us as humans are looking for something bigger than ourselves. 

We are saying to ourselves, there has to be something bigger than this. There is something out there that I‘m looking for. But what is it?

That is the worship of the Lord that I‘m talking about.

It is when we are looking for this bigger thing, that we are looking for the Lord. 

Now how does that involve music?

Music is a form of worship. 

Music can worship and adore something.

And if you use music to worship the Lord,that will actually satisfy our hunger to worship God. 

Well in a way it will satisfy our hunger to worship God, because we never truly finish worshiping God. 

But it‘s so vital to worship God in music, it‘s more so for us because it helps our hearts to be at ease.

After all, God does not require us to worship him in order to exist, but we need to worship him in order to satisfy our thirst for that bigger thing we always look for. 

Anyways, that‘s my take on music.
