The time my friend saved the day at a concert!

Hey guys! Today I want to share with you all story about the time my friend saved the day at his concert. Let’s get into it.

My friend in heavy metal

So I have a friend and honestly he’s one of the best guitarists I’ve ever played with.

And what happened is that he started this band, a Christian band, and they were a heavy metal Christian band.

Now at the time, I wasn’t that big on Christianity. But I still was leaning towards only listening to Christian music.

And so my friend invited me to this venue that wasn’t Christian and I didn’t want to go but he said that I would be a good friend if I went and supported him in his Christian metal band.

So I went

And it was funny because my friends and I all kind of carpooled together in my dad’s car and we drove around 20 miles to this venue.

I looked at it from the outside and I thought, is this it? But when I got inside I saw a whole different world.

I was 16 at the time and obviously that club had alcohol so they had to put the X’s on my hands.

And what happened is that we waited outside for like a hour and the club wouldn’t let us in.

And I’m like, “hey man, I bought tickets to this show.” And he was like, “sorry clubs all filled.”

And I was like what? Why would you sell me tickets if the club was full?

Anyways we’re out there, me and my friends. And we’re about to call it a day.

And then out of nowhere my friend who is the performer at the club shows up and he says, “hey guys, why aren’t you inside?”

And we were like, “man this dudes not letting us in.”

And then he goes and he says to them, “Hey man, that’s my man’s German and his friends.”

And then the doorman was like, “ you didn’t say he was your man’s.” And he let the door open for us.

And you should’ve seen my friend, he was mad like crazy at the venue for not letting us in. And all my friends got in.

Of course there was music that was not Christian and at the time I wasn’t really big on Christianity.

But my friend was performing his own Christian songs. Which I will never forget, did influence me to write songs for God.

I know it wasn’t perfect, but God had plans even in the sin.
