Ranting about some of the problems for Christian musicians

Hey everyone! So today, I‘m going to rant a little about some of the problems that Christian indie musicians have.

Let‘s talk about it.

The money problem

So when I say the money problem, I don‘t mean not having enough money to cover your expenses.

But that problem can be real as well. 

What I mean is the problem where you feel like you can‘t make money. 

The desperation aspect of it. 

Because what happens is that the money problem can be solved in music by simply working more or harder. 

You could improve your technique, your songs, your voice, almost always there‘s going to be something that needs to be improved upon. 

I have read this in many music articles in the past and the music articles say that if you make awesome music, no one will stop you from making a lot of money. But the music has to be awesome. 

And when you make music, you have to be honest with yourself and say,‘yes this is truly awesome, or no this is not my best work.‘

So that way, you come out with the best possible tunes that are out there and make the most money along the way. 

You might say,‘oh German I‘ve heard of the music that‘s on the radio and my music is way better than all of that.‘

That may very well be true, but you don‘t have the same type of influence and track record as all of those other artists that are out on the internet.

So don‘t think that you‘re at a disadvantage just because some big time artist is making more money than you. 

They usually have more resources to play with as well, so take it easy on yourself. 

But anyways, the money problem in music can almost always be solved by working harder or working more. So work hard and work often and you will almost always come out on top.

Not having the resources to complete your music dream

not enough resources huh?

I have heard of platinum selling artists who have made their albums on IPhones. 

So don‘t come at me saying that you,‘don‘t have the right speakers‘ or maybe,‘your guitar is not good enough‘ or maybe even you‘re just not skilled enough to do anything. 

If you have a paper and pen and your voice, you can do anything. 

Almost everyone in the United States has a Smartphone. You can actually buy the most advanced DAW for a phone for 14 dollars and download it onto your smartphone. 

By the way a DAW stands for Digital Audio Workstation. 

That‘s the software that you use to create music on. It‘s where you produce music, mix, and master it as well. 

You can record your voice and instruments on there as well. 

So if you have a smartphone, you can do anything. 

And even still. 

Let‘s say that you don‘t have anything to your name, which I don‘t believe it because God gives good things to everyone.

But let‘s say that you don‘t have any music skills or techniques under your belt, you know what you do have? You have God with you and if you pray to God to give you those techniques and things for music, God will give it to you if he sees fit.

And if God doesn‘t give you music, he will give you something else and you can trust that for you, the thing that God will give you, will be much better.
