Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share some words of encouragement to keep going in your music career.

Let’s get into it

Just start

So I think I have a pretty good understanding of who is reading this blog post.

It’s those people who have talent in music but can’t seem to cross the last hurdle and the hurdle is obtaining a following for your music.

The last hurdle is gaining attention for your music.

The last hurdle is really the business side of music.

Well musician, no one said that music would be easy, I sure know that music is not easy at all.

Everywhere you go in the music industry there are challenges and barriers that you need to cross, whether that be breaking a new record or being the first to do something, there’s always a barrier that needs to be broken, a hurdle that needs to be crossed.

So the best advice that I have to you is to just start.

Start living out that music dream that you’ve always had.

Start making content, start gaining a following, start doing your music dream.

And it’s going to take time, it’s going to take effort and patience, but it will all be worth it in the end.

So if you feel overwhelmed by how much work you need to do, here is some advice that my mom once told me about being patient with the things in your life.

“Take it one day at a time.”

She also said, “Don’t rush things, be patient, rome wasn’t built in a day and neither was your music career.”

Some more advice that my mom gave me was to “Pray to God to bless your hands with the work you do, and at the same time, work hard like never before!”

And trust me that this advice has guided me throughout all of my days as a musician, as an employee, and my mom is faithful with her words.

Mainly because she includes God in all of the things that she says.

She says that God has to be the priority whenever I do projects.

She says that God has to be my number one in order to succeed.

And she is right.

Story Time

So when I was a kid, I remember when my parents gave me the guitar.

And I couldn’t help but to think to myself, “The Lord has provided a guitar.”

And then I started to pray. And I prayed to God because I saw that music required something more from me.

It required that I needed to be patient, work like I’ve never worked before, be consistent, be driven, have a mindset that doesn’t give up, accept new challenges, etc. etc.

And I said within myself, “The Lord has all of these things, and I started to pray, and I prayed to God to bless my hands in music, to make me a great musician, to give me patience, and work ethic and all of the things that I needed to become a great musician.”

And the Lord took me on an adventure that I would never believe unless I lived it myself.

What I’m saying is start your music career, but NEVER forget God is the most important part of the equation.

He is the equation.
