The importance of being a good person in the music industry

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all some information about being a good person in the music industry. 

Let’s get into it.

Why is it so important?

So it’s really important that you be a good person not just for yourself, but also because in the music industry, there will be times where you need to refer to someone else in your contacts for help. 

And it’s not just that, 

But also music is a matter of building relationships. 

It’s a matter of making connections that last and that are meaningful. 

After all, no matter how well of an independent musician someone may be, there is going to be a point where you’re going to have to meet other people. 

There are going to be points where you’re going to need help to do certain things. 

This isn’t a one man show. 

We might say that we are a solo act.

But even the independent musicians work with a team of mixing engineers and mastering engineers and producers who will take their song and finish it. 

The reason for this is very simple. 

Everyone in the music industry has their specialty. 

There are people who specialize in genres of music. 

And then there are people who specialize in one sole aspect of that genre. 

So say for example there are people who specialize in producing Gospel music or mixing gospel music. 

There are people who specialize in writing gospel music or Christian music. 

And it’s actually a very strange occurrence if you ever find someone who can do everything in music. 

There are people who do it, but it’s few and far between and those people probably charge an arm and a leg to do the things that you want to do. 

Therefore, it would be literally much more cost effective and efficient to get a team of producers, mixing engineers, and mastering engineers to do the work for you. 

I know this sounds boring and tedious, but it’s the sad reality of making music. 

And when you have this team of people working, it’s very important to take the lead and show everyone that you are someone fun to work with. 

It’s important to be a leader and the backbone of your team.

For it’s your song that they are listening to and they are making your song a reality. 

So you need to shape how you want the song to sound like by communicating with them the things that you need. 

Focus on your aspect of music, and they’ll focus on theirs.
