DIY Christian, how to have a successful prayer life?

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all how to be successful in prayer.

Let’s get started

So what is prayer? 

Why do we need prayer? If God is so almighty, can’t he give us the things that we need without prayer? 

If God is so perfect and he can read our minds, why do I still have to pray? 

These are very valid questions, but need a little bit of studying. 

So prayer is meant to glorify God. 

Because we as Christians know that God knows what we need. 

However, how amazing is it that when we pray, the Lord will give us what we need and then we will glorify him by saying, “I prayed to God and then this happened.” 

It’s literally meant to bring glory to God. 

So prayer is meant to glorify God, it’s not really meant for God because God does not need prayer in order to exist, But it’s meant to build the relationship that we have with God. 

We are supposed to pray to show God that we actually want him in our lives. 

The bible says to pray, but it’s meant to create communication with God. 

After all God wants us to be free willed. 

He loves us so much that he gave us free will so that we would choose him over any other way of living. 

So now that we know why prayer is so needed in our lives. 

Let’s talk about how to be successful in prayer.

I have prayed for some pretty amazing things in my life and they happened. 

So I have prayed for many things in life. I have prayed to God to do the most amazing things that I have ever seen. 

And some of them came true. 

So I think that if there is someone who deserves to talk about prayer and how to be successful with it, it’s me. 

My number one bit of advice to those who are looking to become successful prayer people, it’s to write down your prayers. 

Write down everything that you are anxious about and turn it into prayer.  

I remember when I first started praying that I would pray to God to make my prayers holy. 

I would literally ask God, “Lord let my prayers be the prime example of what a prayer should be for a Christian. Help my prayers to be holy and just and everything that you want a prayer to be. Help my words to be guided by you.”

Another thing that I would pray for is my relationship with him. I would say, “Lord, strengthen the relationship that I have with you. Help me to build the relationship that I have with you. Let my relationship be strong with you and help me to always seek you and seek after the things that you are.”

God is so perfect that he will make those prayers come true. 

But you can also pray for the things that you need. 

Pray for all of your earthly projects. 

I pray for my blog from time to time and God is always blessing my blog. 

I pray for my work that I do here on earth, and I am first testimony that God does bless the work that you do. 

And never forget to put all of your trust in God, for he is perfect.
