Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all a little blog post about the emotion of music marketing.

Let’s talk about it.

Get excited about music marketing

So what happens is that I see a lot of posts on the internet and they’re not necessarily blog posts but they are comments on blogging forums and music articles that talk about why musicians hate blogging and promotion.

And personally to me, I understand part of the reason why you wouldn’t like it.

I personally hated doing it when I first started promoting my music.

I thought that it was tedious and boring because it was doing the things that I did not want to do and that is to create music.

I literally just wanted to write songs all day long and that be in the end of it.

I did not want to go out and about and promote the music that I was trying to make.

And in reality it was a specific reason why.

I did not want to promote my music because I had actually had experience promoting a company in the past.

I was around 19 at the time and I got my first sales job.

And this sales job was a door to door sales job, which is something similar to promoting music.

I was in charge of going door to door and trying to sell a product that was very difficult to sell.

And I actually got good at it.

But the thing about it is that it took a lot out of me to sell a 20,000 dollar project to people day in and out.

I wanted the money so at the time I didn’t really care.

But I understood just how difficult it is to actually go in person and promote a product yourself.

It is really difficult and I honestly did not want to do that with my music.

I thought it was just too hard.

But anyways, on to the next part.

I started blogging mainly because I wanted to promote God.

I thought that God was well worth the effort to promote so I started this blog to share the gospel with the world.

And my dreams have come true.

But along with that, I wanted to promote my Christian music as well.

So I thought that along with the gospel being shared, I could share music that talks about God as well.

I thought it was a win win situation.

Anyways, all that to say that you should get excited to promote.

Especially as a Christian musician.

Not just because your music can go viral but because you are sharing a message to the world and that message is God.

Share God with the world and ultimately you will have a purpose far greater than what your music can accomplish.

That’s all I wanted to share today.
