The Style that inspires my songwriting

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all a style that inspires my songwriting. 

Let’s get started. 

The bittersweet style

So what happened is that I remember reading these books when I was a kid called “A series of unfortunate events”

And what happened was that those series were so influential to me. 

The stories in and of itself were so bittersweet and they always had the Sisters and brothers on an adventurous tale where they were faced with near dire circumstances. 

And what happened was that I remember when I was a kid, I was going through a bit of tough times myself. 

And I don’t know it just hit me really hard reading about these kids going through these dark times and they somehow always prevailed. 

And what happened was that the entire story itself were bittersweet. 

The tale ended sad but happy at the same time. 

And I found so much inspiration to write my songs similarly to that. 

Except with a twist. 

And the reason is because my Lord is not bittersweet, God is not bittersweet. 

God is just sweet. 

God is just good. 

God is perfect at every turn.

And even in the bad It’s still bittersweet because God is so good. 

God is bittersweet, but in an excellent way. 

Have you ever tried something bittersweet? 

It actually tastes good sometimes. 

And I think of it that way, the bitterness complements the sweet in an oh so awesome way. 

That’s the way that I look at life sometimes and the way that God handles it. 

Because God is perfect and good and even though we don’t like his decisions at time, the bitterness is counteracted by the sweetness and it just is so good for us. 

That’s why I like to write my songs that are a little bittersweet. 

Sometimes I will write a song that’s just sweet, but I like to put more sweet than bitter in my songs because my God is joy.

My God is happiness. 

God is king of happiness and tranquility. 

God is the ultimate reason as to why we need to be happy in life. 

And when I read these books, it just reminded me so much of God. 

Because God is perfect. 

God is just

And when the bitterness hits us in our lives, God is oh soo sweet.
