Hey everyone! So today, I‘m going to talk to you about emergency situations as a Christian.
Let‘s talk about it.
Prepping from the world‘s perspective
So what happens is that I was watching YouTube one of these days.
And I Came across this video that talked about preparing for the apocalypse.
And honestly, I started watching it and I couldn‘t help but to think to myself of the story of the rich man who spent his entire life building his kingdom, only for God to request that the man die that very night.
And I was thinking to myself,‘these people look a lot like this guy.‘
Now, I‘m not saying that there is anything wrong with being prepared for an emergency.
I think that having an emergency preparedness plan at least for basic things such as a natural disaster, bad weather, car problems, or fixes around the house aren‘t exactly bad.
But it‘s when we make it our god that it becomes bad.
Like, I was seeing dudes who were calling themselves,‘minutemen‘ just showing off their guns and their off grid living solutions.
Like that‘s all great and dandy and all but I think that, that‘s just a little too much thinking on the future that might never happen.
I mean think about it.
At an all out collapse of the government, how prepared are you to actually fight with guns?
Have you ever even been shot at before?
Have you ever even engaged an enemy that might be better trained than you are?
I mean, all of these things matter and if you haven‘t even served as an infantry in the military, how can you really combat in war?
I‘m not bashing all of those peppers out there who take pride in their guns and stash of food and supplies,
But when are you going to rely on God?
I mean it literally seems to me like You‘re anxious about something that might never happen.
When God comes in
If you pray to God every day, like you should, he will provide for you and all of your necessities no matter what happens.
Whether that‘s WW3, Natural DIsaster, Government collapse, etc. etc. God will provide for you if you trust him.
Do you think that God abandons his people when they need him?
Personally me, I‘m going through a small inconvenience right now,
and God has provided.
And I couldn‘t help but to think to myself, WOW God has provided.
Because he has, and he always will.
I mean think about it, even if we were stocked on food, and supplies for a few months, that’s great, but the whole world needs Doctors for physical ailments.
And Doctors take years of commitment to actually become a doctor.
It’s not a matter of,”Oh, I’ll just read a book and become a doctor.”
I remember one time, there was in china a rich family and the whole country was going through a crisis.
And what happened was that the mother was giving birth.
However, there was a problem with the birth and they needed a doctor to assist them.
And the problem I believe was that she wouldn’t stop bleeding.
Apparently, it was an easy fix for birth giving doctors, but they had no doctors available so the mother died.
I mean imagine you’re in a post apocalyptic world, You still need to resupply on clothes, food, you still need to fix your houses every once in a while, you’ll still have natural disasters that occur that will need people to clean up, you will still have the need for farmers, and police force to keep law and order.
You will still need cars and car parts.
I mean imagine recreating a whole car by yourself?
I’m not saying it’s not possible.
But making a car by yourself requires metallurgy and electrical knowledge of circuits and computers. You need a team of highly skilled people to make a car.
I’ve heard of some dudes who make cars on their own, but those dudes took years to learn how to do that.
There’s just no end in all of the things that we actually need.
So, this is where God comes in.
God provides for all of those who are anxious, but want to rest in him.
Which is essentially everyone.
Rest in God, and trust that God is there for you.
Remember the Bible verse, “Be anxious in nothing and pray for everything.”
Remember God in your times of trouble.
