Hey everyone! Here are a couple of projects that you should do before you take off as an artist,
Let’s talk about it.
Make an album by yourself, promote it, and sell it.
I know this is a big task to do, but it’s doable.
It literally just takes a little know how to being able to make and promote an album.
Personally, I’ve been doing it for a few years now, but I know that it will pay off eventually.
So patience is key when doing these music promotion gigs.
Also learning how to produce a great song is key too.
Producing excellent music I think will be your primary selling point.
Because there is a saying that goes around in the music industry.
And the saying is, “The music sells itself.”
And in all reality, it does.
If you make music that really resonates with an audience, they’re going to want to listen to it all over again and again.
So focus on making excellent music, and the music will sell itself.
Start a kickstarter and use that money to fund your music projects
Start a Kickstarter project and promote it all over your socials, your blog, your YouTube channel, your X, Your Facebook, whatever it is, promote it on there and just make something big out of it.
Usually starting a kickstarter kinda takes a little money at first, or a really big following, so you decide how you want to promote your kickstarter.
Make sure that it’s a doable project that you can actually do.
Aim high but not too high, set a realistic goal and shoot for it.
I feel like finding ways to fund for your music projects are just as important to a musician than just making the music.
You have to be self-sufficient.
And I feel like this will give you a good baseline to start any other music project.
Get sponsored
So any company can actually sponsor you.
Even that mom and pop shop from down the street could probably sponsor you.
But the thing about sponsors is that they need to have a big enough bank account to actually feed an extra advertising employee.
And it has to be worth it to them.
So landing a sponsorship could be big for you, but you just have to search out the sponsorships and decide which one you prefer.
You have to see which one is actually worth the consideration.
I know that there are a few music companies that are actively looking to sponsor people, I don’t know if the situation has changed, but I think last year, Taylor Guitars and Martin Guitars were looking to sponsor people.
And they even said, “we might not sponsor you your next biggest project, but we will help you however we can.”
So they might not pay for all of your studio sessions, but they could pay for a pack of guitar strings or maybe some lessons.
