What is the purpose of entertainment?

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to go into the topic of purpose for entertainment

Let’s talk about it

It was never about us

So what happens is that I honestly think that music started the whole entertainment industry. 

Back in the early days of humanity, it might’ve taken a little know how to re-enact something as a play, or it might’ve taken something to create a game, but music was the first art where people were inspired by the art. 

I mean even instruments were recorded as far back as Exodus.

So it literally shows you how old music is. 

And what was the purpose of music? 

The purpose of music was to glorify God. 

The purpose of making sounds into art was to glorify God. 

So now that we know the purpose of music, What about Football, Rugby, Chess, Videos, Comedy, Movies, Photos, etc. etc. 

What is the purpose of all of this? 

Well I must say that to each his own because I myself don’t really know the purpose of American Football or regular Football or wrestling or skiing. 

I really don’t know the purpose of movies or photos or really much of the entertainment industry. 

And there’s actually a reason why I don’t know the purpose for all of this. 

The reason is because most of the things in the world feel like they worship the body. 

They feel like they worship the human body more than the creator who created the body. 

I mean even photos of flowers feel like they worship the flower more than the creator who created the flower. 

If it really was about God, then it would have a caption in it, that says, “God made this.” 

And so you would have to purpose it to God and not just to the flower. 

So you see what I’m saying? 

A lot of the entertainment industry is all about the body and how to glorify the body the human aspect. 

Hardly if any of it glorifies God. 

So to me, if something really does have a purpose, it is to glorify God. 

And Trust me, I have seen people glorify God in sports, in the army, in music, in quitting addictions, In obtaining wealth and peace, I have seen people glorify God in a lot of things. 

But I want to know what you think about it. 

Because I’m curious to know what you think about it. 

I’m not saying that any of those things are bad. 

I don’t think that wrestling or boxing or Football is bad, but does it glorify God? 

Let me know what you guys think, because this requires study.
