Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all a few examples of business plans for a Christian musician.
Let’s get started.
The first plan and quite frankly my plan
So what happens is that you have to understand that music is a lifelong journey.
It’s a process of taking fundamentals and just really getting good at it.
And what happens is that the things that I have today, in regards to my music, has actually been a lifelong adventure.
It hasn’t been a thing of like, “Oh I’m going to wake up one day and become a professional musician.”
No, it takes years of dedication to the craft to actually come out on top of all this.
With that being said, there are shorter ways of doing it, most of them require money and people to actually do it.
So if you don’t have money or people to do the things that you want to do, I’m sorry but you’re just going to have to wait it out and do it the long way.
So here is the business plan.
Market Research

So there is a saying in business that says that if you can identify down to the type of hat that your ideal fan or customer would wear, then you have found your ideal customer.
But us as musicians and beginner music marketer’s honestly don’t have the type of resources to really determine all of that.
But what us as musicians do have, is the ability and work ethic to actually get stuff done.
But if you want a rough demographic as to what your ideal customer or fan should look like, for me, it’s basically a Christian who is deeply devoted to God. A Christian who wears modest apparel, nothing too flashy, goes to church on Sundays, and reads their bibles every day. If not once a week.
This Christian prays to God in their spare time and is passionate about God.
If I could say what kind of hat they wear, I would say that they don’t wear any hats because they believe that not wearing a hat is more appropriate except for outdoors events.
That’s personally for my group of people.
And I pray to God that I actually attract this group of people because that would be my people that I would love to interact with.
Plan of action to attract these people

So what happens is that once you find out who is your ideal people, you have to cater and create a plan of action to attract these people.
Find out where they are lurking online, where they go in person, or some of their favorite past times.
The internet actually makes this really easy to find an audience online.
Because what happens is that what you can do is to create content around your theme or idea and people will naturally attract to it.
So like if you’re a Christian musician, you could make blog posts about Christianity and music or music from a Christian’s perspective.
Remember that content creation has a tremendous ROI compared to other forms of advertising and marketing.
Even online advertising is nowhere near as profitable as creating content.
Even though online advertising does have a great online ROI.
Products that you will sell

Ultimately, you are a Christian musician, so your music and your message should be the first thing that you are trying to sell.
Well, the message is one thing that you could not sell because the message of God needs to be preached unto everyone without boundaries.
But your music, you can honestly sell because it is yours and it is your product that is valuable to people.
In conclusion
So in conclusion, if you want to make it as a Christian musician, you can do it, it’s just that it takes patience, hard work, and a little digging around on the internet.
Don’t be afraid to fail because the only people who succeed are the people who aren’t afraid to fail.
