Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all how to promote your music offline.
Let’s get into it.
Promotion 101
So promoting your music literally just means getting it out in front of other people to see.
It means creating things that will attract the attention of people who might be interested in your music.
And in the business world, there are some tried and true methods to promoting a business.
But in the music world, those same tried and true methods used in business might work, but there are other aspects as well that we need to consider.
Let’s talk about some of the tried and true promotion methods in business.
Advertising
So the first thing that should come to mind when talking about promotion is advertising.
Because what happens is that advertising is one of the fastest ways that you could actually get some album sales because it is so highly focused and it get’s your songs out there to the public and a lot of people in the public.
But advertising envelopes a whole lot of other forms of marketing.
You could also print out flyers and business cards and just pass them around.
Those flyers and business cards could have links to your Social Media’s and also have your website on there.
Whichever way you decide to advertise, they can be beneficial in the short term and in the long run.
The music way to do it
So what happens is that the musicians choice of promoting music is by literally just performing a whole bunch of shows.
It is a tried and true method that if you’re going to start out selling albums, then your number one promotional method as a musician should be your live concerts.
Many times all throughout modern music history has performing live really come through.
Performing live is also the biggest money maker for a musician.
So, perform live and you should be good.
But honestly if it was me
Honestly, if it was me, I would just promote online.
The reason why I made this blog post was to give you some ideas as to what you can do once you are already selling albums.
But if it were me, I would just promote online.
Not only can you sell more albums this way, but also you reach more people with your music.
And it’s super focused. It’s not just someone random at a venue that so happened to hear your music.
No, it’s focused enough to actually get you super fans.
So promote online and in the future promote offline, and that should be the bulk of your marketing plan.
