Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to talk about the test of money for a Christian here on Earth.
Let’s talk about it.
What is the test of money?
So let’s look at some money basics and why we are given money by God.
So Everything on this Earth belongs to God.
Everything from my soul to the money that we have in our bank accounts.
Everything is the Lord’s.
And as such, the Lord wants us to be good stewards of the things that he has left us with.
Sometimes stewardship requires giving to the poor.
But it also means that we are to save and use our money resourcefully and not just on anything that we set our eyes to.
Let’s look at some bible verses that talk about this stewardship. Luke 16: 10 – 11, “He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?”
So this was Jesus speaking about money and how it relates to the coming kingdom of God.
Because what happens is that Jesus preached that in heaven, we will be given riches and those riches are to be used appropriately.
And Jesus is saying that if you are good stewards of your riches here on Earth, then God will trust you with great riches in heaven.
So like, money is great and we can use it for our own pleasures as long as those pleasures are holy.
But we must also be responsible with our money.
We can’t just spend it on whatsoever we think of because that’s not good stewardship of our money either.
Everything in balance with each other is what I’m trying to say.
So in a sense, the money that we have on Earth is really a test to see if we are worthy to be trusted with the riches in heaven
And like I said, it’s not bad to enjoy your money
1 Timothy 6:17 States, “Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy”
It literally says so that we may enjoy.
Anyways
Anyways, I just hope that I’m an encouragement to you and I hope that I have been a challenge to you so that you may use your money in a holy manner.
