How to apply your bible teachings to your life

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all how to apply your bible teachings to your life. 

Let’s talk about it. 

So it’s a struggle I know

So what happens is that our sin nature wants us to rebel against God. 

And even though we know that the word of God is good, we still want to disobey his word because we are sinners and we make mistakes because it’s in our nature. 

So the teachings of God are actually really simple. 

It’s simple to understand yet its hard for us to actually practice in our lives for this very reason. 

But let’s talk about how to apply God in our lives

God is an action

When you become a Christian, you are now transformed in your life to do something extraordinary. 

You are now transformed to live a life that is holy. 

As such, we should walk in the newness of the life that God has given us. 

It does not mean that we can go about and live our life however we please, but it means that we are now to walk in holiness and strive for perfection as much as we can, though we know that we could never be perfect. 

So in a sense, all of the teachings that are in the bible are something that we need to apply for in our lives. 

Things like working hard, being disciplined, being clean, being joyful, and enjoying the life that God has given us are all a part of the things that we need to do in order to really walk in the newness of life that God has given us. 

Some of those things that I just mentioned are difficult I know for sure, but God is so perfect that he understands our weaknesses on a daily basis and he will meet our needs where we slack. 

But how exactly can we do these things? 

Let’s talk about a few prayers that I would say so that I could do these things.

The prayers that I would pray so that I could do these things

I would pray like this, “Dear Lord who is in heaven, you are holy, perfect, just, and everything that I need in life, you are God above all, you are the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Lord, I ask that you may give me strength to be holy, Give me strength to chase after you even when life is difficult, even when I just can’t chase after you, help me to chase after you. Help me to enjoy my life in a way that pleases you, help me to be disciplined and help me to work hard, help me to be clean, give me strength to do all of these things. Give me strength to be able to walk in the newness of life that you have given me Lord, give me strength to walk in the holiness that you are Lord. In Jesus Christ name I pray, amen.” 

That’s one prayer that I would pray for. 

If you really want, you can go much deeper than the words that I just mentioned above. Talk specifically about your problems in your life and mention how doing the things that God wants will bless him and yourself. 

Say this, 

“Dear Lord who is in heaven, help me to work hard and help me to be known as a hard worker, you are perfect every day and you are a hard worker every day, Lord I ask that you may give me strength to get up and work at the things that you want me to work at, help me to honor you with the work that I do and let me rest easy knowing that the work that I’ve done is doing something good to you. In Jesus Christ name I pray, amen.”

Most often than not, prayers will give us strength to do the things that we need to doin life. 

Prayers will help us to live a life that pleases God.
