What are some things that you need as a music producer?

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all some things that a music producer should always have. 

Let’s talk about it. 

Splice

I think that splice is the best sample library that you could have. 

So what is splice you say? 

It’s exactly that a sample library subscription that lets you have access to unlimited amounts of samples for your music. 

And the best part about this sample library is that the samples that are created, were created by some of the top producers that there are in the industry. 

Producers like Zaytoven and the like. 

And the good news is that everyone in the music industry uses the samples that are in splice. 

So a subscription to splice is one of the things that you need. 

Music experience

There is a famous producer and his name is Rick Rubin, and what happens is that he is notorious in not knowing anything about music. 

Like this guy is famous for being the producer on the block that has no experience in music whatsoever and yet he still has more Gold albums than any other producer that there is. 

And what he gives in exchange for all the money that he gets is his knowledge in what people like. 

Most people are not that producer. 

Most people need music experience in order to really make it through as a music producer.

It’s not an easy job being a music producer, but all of those years in playing the piano and guitar really do pay off when it comes to making a solid song. 

So music experience you need it. 

Last but not least, a DAW and equipment

A daw is the software that you need in order to record and produce music. 

And the equipment that you need is the microphone and the interface, 

All of which you can get at a pretty affordable rate. 

If you were to go to Guitar Center, you could actually get these things really cheap. 

Well they’re not the cheapest things out there, but they are cheap. 

I got my first DAW for 250 over at the Guitar Center by my house. 

And ever since then music equipment has only gotten cheaper.

And if you learn how to use these things, it’s really a big bonus for you.
