Hey everyone! So today, I want to talk about Christmas and if it’s really a Christian holiday or another day where the government gets us to spend a whole bunch of money on things that we don’t really need.

Let’s talk about it

Christmas, is it Christian?

So originally, this particular day was celebrated as a pagan holiday.

And what happened is that the Catholic Church wanted to celebrate the birth of Christ along with the pagan holiday.

I’m actually not sure what the pagan Holiday was but the Pagans celebrated it with a tree.

And I think that they even named the tree a god.

But what happens is that the catholic church wanted to celebrate Christmas as the birth of Jesus and also this Pagan holiday at the same time due to political and economical reasons.

However, the actual birth of Jesus, some say was actually in April.

The reason for this is because of the bible and what the bible says about the birth of Jesus.

I think that the government in Jesus’ time was doing taxes during that time, and Joseph had to go and do taxes with Mary.

But I’m actually not sure, so you would have to do some research about it.

Let’s fast forward to today

Today, we Christians know that we celebrate the birth of Christ on this day. But we are also aware of the pagan holiday that surrounds it.

Now the question is should you celebrate it?

It’s a matter of personal conviction

Currently I am not convicted to not celebrate Christmas.

I celebrate it with God in my heart. I celebrate it knowing that my savior was born and not thinking about paganism on that day, even we have some pagan symbols in Christmas.

I have some Christian friends who don’t celebrate Christmas because they say that it’s a pagan holiday.

My own church, I actually don’t know if they celebrate Christmas, but it’s all a good testimony to us as a matter of fact.

And the reason is because we have questioned some of our very own practices for the sake of worshipping God entirely.

This is good.

This is a good problem to have.

I know some of you are probably wondering to yourself, how can a problem be good?

I mean imagine if you own a business and you have run out of room to place the cash in? You now have a good problem because you have an abundance of cash and you need to solve the problem to put the cash in.

So this is a good problem if you’re asking about it.

If you are asking about whether or not you should celebrate Christmas because of it’s pagan roots, then you are acting in a holy manner and not a selfish one.

You are being convicted by the Holy spirit to enact upon something good.

I personally don’t feel convicted by it, but I pray that if God sees it bad, then he would convict me of it.

But I’ll say this

If you want to keep the Christ in Christmas completely, I would suggest you do a few things during Christmas.

I would suggest that you not put up a Christmas tree, because Christmas trees were used to worship as a God by the pagans.

I would also suggest that you not decorate too much because some of the symbols we use in Christmas come from pagan traditions.

If you really want to put Christ in Christmas, I would pray to God about it and keep it Godly. If you put up a decoration, put up nativity scenes all around the house and bible verses about Jesus.

You can give gifts because I know that sometimes we use Christmas as a way to show our love to the people in our lives.

We give them presents and signs of love towards them to show them that we care about them. And there’s nothing wrong with that, just as long as you remember that this is for love and not for any god other than the one true God.

If it were me, I would find a way to give gifts to the people who might not be the kindest to me.

I would find a way to give gifts that are holy and kind towards the people that are mean to me.

Give them something holy so that you are known as a Christian and not just another person going through the motions.
