Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all a blog post that I think needs to be talked about.

What we put in our hearts can manifest into something greater

So what happens is that I remember back when I first started playing the guitar, I actually remember seeing a guitarist on a stage soloing. 

I remember one day I was just standing in church and I saw a guitarist doing a solo. 

And it was awesome. 

To me it was awesome. 

And the guitar was so cool and I loved the way that it all sounded. 

I was a kid at this point in time, I was around 6 years old. 

And I’ll be honest with you, that consumed me to the utmost possible way. 

I remember I was just watching him play the guitar and I saw the amplifier that he had, it was a peavey. 

I remember because I went up to him and asked him what equipment he was using. 

If I’m honest with you I don’t remember the guitar that he had but I remember the amplifier because of the name of the amplifier on the amp. 

And then I went to my mom and I asked her to show me Christian music that had that exact same sound. 

So she went to the library and she found Christian rock albums and you bet that we went and listened to those albums all day long. 

This was during the time when CD’s were still a thing, so we would put those CD’s in our Car’s Stereo and we would just be blasting music. 

And I remember that for a few years, I just prayed to God to help me to learn how to play the guitar and to use it for him. 

And sure enough, the Lord taught me, and he gave me lessons and eventually I became the Christian musician that I am today. 

But why am I saying this?

Something so innocent and so impactful changed my life. 

In an instant my life was changed. 

In an instant I had become a Christian musician. 

And I thank God that my mom would always show me Christian music and not any other type of music because I think I would’ve done other things with music if it was anything else. 

My dad would show me different styles of rock, but I thank my mom for always being the best musical influence in my life. 

So in an instant, the moment you consume something in your heart, it can become who you are. 

Don’t let the wrong influences become who you are. 

Let God consume you, let your spirit be consumed by the spirit of God. 

And nothing else
