Tips on how to pray effectively

Hey guys, here are some tips that I am giving to you all about how to pray effectively towards God.

These tips are really just ways that you can structure your prayers, I’ll also give some topics that you should pray about. 

Let’s get into it.

Look at the example that Jesus gave us

So what happens is that the disciples actually asked Jesus to show them how to pray and Jesus gave them an example of how to pray. 

And really my dad who is catholic was the one who gave me this idea.

And I think that this is a catholic way of praying, however, it is the way that Jesus prayed and I don’t think it’s wrong.

Now, my dad put an emphasis on the way that we pray, the format has to be correct for him.

However, I don’t think that, the exact way to pray is needed. 

It’s just like a guideline way of praying. 

So let’s talk about the parts that make an excellent prayer.

1. The intro (Our father who art in heaven) doesn’t need to be exactly in those words, but words that are similar
2. Blessings unto him (Enough explained here)
3. Give us this day our daily bread (Right here we are asking God to provide for our needs)
4. Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors (We are asking God to forgive people who sin against us and our own sins as well)
5. For thine is the kingdom and power and glory forever amen.

Now, God knows that we have specific needs. 

God knows that we have needs that are special to each of us. 

Which is where the needs part is talked about in the prayer. 

If you have any needs, talk to God about them. 

Here is an example that I would pray for

“Dear Lord who is in heaven, you are perfect, holy, just, righteous, and excellent every day. Lord I need you every day, and you do not need me, you will live far longer than me and will shine brighter than any star forever.

Lord I ask that you may provide for a new guitar for me Lord (I need a new guitar right now) so that I may continue to worship you in song and lyrics Lord. So that I may worship you with my music. (I write Christian songs and only Christian songs)

I ask Lord that you may continue to strengthen my hands to work hard, Help me to work hard at all of the projects that you’ve given to me Lord.

Lord, I ask that you may give me wisdom to get through the difficult challenges that I face through in life. I ask Lord that you may make me a holy man, Make me a man that honors you throughout all of my days Lord. Lord, make me a man that wants you more than myself.

Help me Lord to write better songs each and every day Lord. Lord help my songs to glorify you no matter what. In Jesus Christ name I pray, amen. 

But you can literally pray to God for anything that’s your desires and he will provide for you. 

Do you need a car? Ask God to provide a car for you

Do you need a job? Ask God to provide a job for you

Do you need a house? Skills? A computer? A phone? Just ask God for those things and he will give it to you if it fits his will. 

Like he is not going to give you a computer for you to hack the mainframe of like Microsoft. He’s not going to give you a car so that you can go rob a bank and use the car as a getaway car. You see where that goes? 

But if you want things that will bring honor to the Lord. Like if you need a car to get to work and do your living activities, God will give it to you. 

Trust me, that God has the power to give you the things that you need and want.
