Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to talk about a common theme that people who follow God have.
Let’s talk about it.
They are rejected by their people
So what happened is that we were doing a bible study in my church.
And we were really talking about Jepthae.
Who was a mighty man of God and had tremendous faith in him.
And what happened is that his very own half brothers kicked him out of the house when he got older because their mothers were different and they didn’t want Jepthae to be a part of the inheritance of their father.
And so he went and left the place where he lived.
However, my pastor said that it was a good idea to do a bible study as to how many God loving people were rejected by their brethren or people.
And so we started naming names: Moses, Noah, Jesus, David (who was persecuted by his sons), Paul was stoned by his own people, and we named so many other people and honestly I cannot remember all of the names that we named but I highly encourage all of you to go out there and make your own list of names of people who honored God but were rejected by their people.
And I started to think to myself, “Why is this true?”
And my pastor said, “Remember if you are ever rejected by your own people, you could be doing something right because the way of God is not like most people.”
I started to think to myself, “am I rejected by my own people?”
I don’t want to share that answer here because I feel like that’s a private question, but I will say that the people who do accept me, are like friends who never went away.
I will say that the people who are my friends, are a blessing from God.
The Lord has provided a set of friends that honestly are wholesome in my life.
And it’s not a big group of friends, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
The Lord has provided, and he has been good to me since day one.
He will forever reign in my heart and he will forever reign supreme.
