Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all something a little special.

Let’s get into it.

You should put on the teacher hat

So what happens is that as a musician, and specifically a recording artist, it is your job to create.

And you have to create all forms of things on the internet.

From Videos, to blog posts, to photos, you just have to create.

And if I’m honest with you, there are a few forms of content that resonate well with any audience.

And that is How to’s .

So like, “How to mix music in FL Studio?” Or “How do you layer guitars?” Etc. etc.

and in these blog posts and content that you’re creating, you really are creating a whole bunch of How to’s.

Along with a whole bunch of other things that you should be creating.

a how to is absolutely essential to grasp as a musician.

And this means, that we should take on the role of being a teacher.

Because as a teacher not only do we explain to people who really want to learn how to do certain things, but it’s often said that you grow as a musician once you become a teacher because you learn as you teach.

So it’s important for us as musicians to become teachers because we help others and also we learn when we teach.

Just now I was actually making a blog post about mixing and I actually learned a lot about mixing just from doing this blog post.

I think you guys already saw this blog post that I’m talking about, but I must say that it is a great learning experience having to learn from these sources.

Not only do you learn from teaching, but it makes for great content

There is a statistic somewhere out there on the internet that says 40% of all of your music fans, are actually up and coming artists themselves.

I’m more than certain that if you go on google and just google up what percentage of my music fans are musicians, you’ll find that they are a lot.

So, the fact that you have such a large fanbase that is strictly musicians, means that you should be catering to their likes and tastes.

Which means that you should be making music blog posts, videos, and photos.

And if you are the source of the best music blog posts out there on the internet, well then, it’s more than likely that they are going to choose you over that mainstream publication no matter what name drops they’re pulling on their site.

Overall being a teacher is by far a super helpful thing in the music industry.

Being able to teach and learn at the same time is super important in the music industry because this way you’ll always be growing.
