Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all something special that I’m doing.
Let’s get started.
The working musician
So what happened is that I am currently working at a career, and it’s part time.
However, I believe that no matter the work that I do, I can come out on top with a lot of money.
That’s actually biblical.
That’s a biblical belief.
That no matter what work you do, you can make a lot of money in it if you work hard enough at it.
And so right now, I’m actually requesting more hours from my boss, but at the same time, I’m trying to work really hard at it so that I can be the person that they need.
And so, they put me on the schedule, but I make sure that I give it my all every time I go in.
And sure enough, lately, they’ve been doing good to me.
I actually thank God for the work that he has given me, now it’s time for me to take full advantage of the fact that God has blessed me with this job.
He is perfect.
The Grind
So there is a part in every musician’s career and it’s known as the Grind.
And it’s where you work really hard at a job, go to college, work at your music at night and just have a chance to blossom in your career.
and that’s the part where I’m at right now.
I’m looking for a second job right now to substitute my college right now.
But if I’m ever making enough money, I’m going to go back to college for sure.
The grind is so essential to the musician.
The grind is what makes the musician.
I remember when I was working out with my friends, my friend who was showing me how to workout was like, “German, we as Gym rats need to do one thing and that’s EMBRACE THE SUCK.”
because what happens is that when you’re working out in the gym, you actually have to work really hard to get the gains that you want to gain.
And it hurts working out in the gym.
You know pain and gain.
It hurts doing cardio, lifting weights, etc. etc.
and what happened was that my friend was like, “EMBRACE THE SUCK.”
Lol
and that’s what we have to do as musicians, we have to embrace the suck because that’s just a part of the musicians life.
Remember that our strength comes from God
Remember that we could not be anything without God.
Reminding myself that God is my strength, just pushes me so much more every single day.
Especially on those days where I just don’t feel like working on my music.
He is the one that makes everything possible.
All hail God.
